Duration: A vasectomy is typically completed within 30 minutes.
You will remain awake, but a local anaesthetic will be used to numb the area.
Anaesthesia: You will receive a local anaesthetic injection to numb the scrotum at the site of incision for the vasectomy.
Post-Procedure Recovery: After the procedure, you will be able to go home the same day, although it’s advisable to arrange for someone to drive you.
You will need to focus on resting and supporting the area for the first 24-48 hours.
