Comfort

  • Duration: A vasectomy is typically completed within 30 minutes.
  • You will remain awake, but a local anaesthetic will be used to numb the area.
  • Anaesthesia: You will receive a local anaesthetic injection to numb the scrotum at the site of incision for the vasectomy.
  • Post-Procedure Recovery: After the procedure, you will be able to go home the same day, although it’s advisable to arrange for someone to drive you.
  • You will need to focus on resting and supporting the area for the first 24-48 hours.
